In an educational setting where students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) require sensitive support and innovative strategies, music therapy emerges as a promising resource capable of harmonizing emotion, behavior, and learning. Under this premise, the present study explores the real scope of music as a therapeutic tool within IPHE-Santiago. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of music therapy as a transformative tool in managing the behavior of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at IPHE-Santiago. It was conducted using a non-experimental, descriptive research design aimed at examining teachers’ perceptions, applied practices, and observed behavioral changes. The research made it possible to identify the most commonly used musical techniques—such as improvisation, percussion, and vocalization—and their impact on students’ emotional regulation, sustained attention, and social interaction. The findings revealed that music therapy achieved 100% effectiveness in strengthening attention and concentration, establishing itself as a high-value neuroeducational resource. Likewise, notable progress was observed in group participation, eye contact, and functional communication, with percentages ranging from 90% to 100%, confirming its positive influence on the development of socio-emotional skills. However, repetitive and restrictive behaviors remained at high levels (80%–100%), demonstrating that these patterns require complementary interventions and ongoing support. Overall, the results position music therapy as an essential tool for enriching pedagogical practice and enhancing emotional self-regulation in students with ASD.
