dc.descriptionThis report, which deals with physiotherapeutic management in elderly patients with shoulder pathology, has as its general objective to determine the benefits of physiotherapeutic intervention in elderly patients with shoulder pathology at the Ezequiel Abadía Hospital. The following are expressed as specific objectives: to identify the most frequent injuries in the shoulder, to design a comprehensive treatment plan and to analyze the data on physiotherapeutic intervention in older adult patients. The methodology used was a practice report. The population that motivated this report was seven older adults, the data collection instrument was based on evaluations with different scales from the beginning to the end of their treatment. The results demonstrated in this report argue that the older adult population will always have shoulder pain or shoulder pathology. Concluding that it may be due to overuse of the arm over the years or by some of the jobs they had in their youth, as well as other consequences in women with wear and tear due to loss of calcium or bone mass.
dc.description.abstractEste informe que trata del manejo fisioterapéutico en pacientes adultos mayores con patología de hombro, tiene como objetivo general determinar los beneficios de intervención fisioterapéutica en pacientes adultos, mayores con patología de hombro en el hospital Ezequiel abadías. Como objetivos específicos se expresan los siguientes: identificar las lesiones más frecuentes en el hombro, diseñar un plan de tratamiento integral y Analizar los datos de intervención fisioterapéutica en los pacientes adultos mayores. La metodología utilizada fue informe de práctica. La población que motivo a este informe fue de siete personas, adultos mayores, el instrumento de recopilación de datos se basó en evaluaciones con diferentes escalas, desde el inicio hasta el final de su tratamiento. Los resultados demostrados en este informe arrojan que la población de adultos mayores siempre tendrá dolor de hombro o una patología de hombro. Concluyendo que puede ser debido al uso excesivo de las articulaciones, debido a los años o por los trabajos que tuvieron en su juventud y en algunos de los casos las mujeres con el desgaste por la pérdida de calcio o la masa ósea.
