| dc.description | This study aims to analyze how artistic activities influence the learning process of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) attending primary school at the Sergio Pérez Delgado School. It is based on the premise that art can become a significant pedagogical resource to promote attention, emotional expression, content comprehension, and active participation in the classroom, especially for students requiring differentiated support. The research adopts a descriptive, qualitative approach with a non-experimental design, allowing for the observation and understanding of the phenomenon in its natural context without manipulation of variables. The sample consisted of regular teachers, one special education teacher, and a group of eight to ten students diagnosed with ASD, who participated directly and indirectly in data collection. Two instruments were used to obtain the data: an interview with the teachers to understand their perceptions, strategies, and experiences in implementing art as an educational resource; and an observation checklist used to record the students' behavior, participation, sensory responses, and progress during the artistic activities. This study concludes that artistic activities become a valuable means to strengthen learning in students with ASD, as they allow them to develop greater confidence, maintain their attention for longer periods, and show progress in emotional regulation and interaction within the classroom. | |
