Diseño de un manual didáctico sobre el uso del botiquín para la Escuela El Cirbulaco, Corregimiento Santiago Sur, 2025

dc.descriptionThe main objective of this project was to design a Didactic Manual on the use of First Aid Kit elements that would allow the students, teachers, and administrative staff of El Cirbulaco School, in the Santiago Sur district, to appropriately handle a first aid situation. Following the recommendations of different authors and considering the analysis of training effectiveness (pre-test vs. post-test), a manual titled “Didactic manual on the use of the school first aid kit” was created. It consists of 35 pages and meets the didactic characteristics typical of an easy-to-use instructional document suitable for adults, youth, and children. The respondents expressed that they place great importance both on the training sessions and on the existence of a manual to accompany the first aid kit, which is considered a sign that these two tools have been identified as positive in reinforcing knowledge about the use of the kit’s components when attending to the most common medical emergencies at the school. Therefore, El Cirbulaco School was provided with the Didactic Manual on the use of the first aid kit, along with the donation of a properly equipped First Aid Kit. Additionally, it was recommended that the school plan future training sessions and activate an emergency brigade so that the institution is better prepared to face any medical emergencies that may arise.
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo principal de este proyecto fue diseñar un manual didáctico sobre el uso de los elementos del botiquín que permitiera a los estudiantes, docentes y administrativos de la Escuela El Cirbulaco, en el corregimiento de Santiago Sur, atender adecuadamente situaciones que requirieran primeros auxilios. Siguiendo las recomendaciones de diversos autores y considerando el análisis de la efectividad de la capacitación (pretest vs. postest), se elaboró el documento titulado “Manual Didáctico sobre el Uso del Botiquín de Primeros Auxilios en el Entorno Escolar”, el cual consta de 35 páginas y cumple con las características didácticas propias de un instructivo práctico, accesible y de fácil comprensión para adultos, jóvenes y niños. Los encuestados manifestaron otorgar gran importancia tanto a las capacitaciones como a la existencia de un manual que acompañe al botiquín. Este resultado evidencia que ambas herramientas son percibidas como recursos positivos para reforzar los conocimientos relacionados con el uso adecuado de los elementos del botiquín en la atención de las emergencias médicas más comunes dentro de la escuela. En este sentido, la Escuela El Cirbulaco recibió formalmente el Manual Didáctico sobre el Uso del Botiquín, junto con el donativo de un botiquín debidamente equipado. Además, se recomendó a la institución planificar futuras capacitaciones y activar una brigada de emergencia, con el propósito de fortalecer su preparación para enfrentar de manera efectiva las situaciones médicas que puedan presentarse en el entorno escolar.
