Changes in daily routines significantly affect people's quality of life, particularly when they are caused by a serious medical condition that results in hospitalization in an intensive care unit, both for the patient and their family environment, especially for the parents, affecting their routines, roles, and occupational balance. The present project aims to design a self-care program for parents of children hospitalized in the Intensive Care Units of the Dr. José Renán Esquivel Children's Hospital, to promote occupational balance. To this end, an interview was conducted to understand the impact on the occupational balance of parents with a child in the ICU. This interview revealed that parents face difficulties in organizing their daily activities and maintaining their occupations. Given this reality, "CuidArte" emerges, a self-care program designed to support parents in areas of greater occupational imbalance. This program promotes self-care as a meaningful occupation, highlighting its importance in high-demand contexts such as a hospital. From the implementation of this project, it contributed to temporarily restoring the structure of the parents' routines. Additionally, through workshops, parents were allowed to participate in meaningful activities, helping them reconnect with their personal interests and rediscover their ability to act, even in a context of high emotional load.
