| dc.description | Mental health does not know about race, sex, religion or social status, and that is why we are all prone to suffer or develop a mental disorder. The number of mental disorders has been aggravated as a result of the pandemic today. We understand the close relationship between our emotional and social wellbeing as mental health. The research is aimed at a sample of 9 women from the Perla Resiliente de la Comunidad Amiga Maria Chiquita in a range of ages 30 to 59. The overall objective of the research is to identify risk factors and protective factors for mental health. The type of research is descriptive and experimental quasi-design exploratory. The test used was the Nowack Stress Profile. Main results: Risk factors: Health habits (Diet and sleep). Other risk factors: Lack of economic resources and employment. Protective factors: Type A behaviors (internalized, expressed anger, impatience, speed of time) in this case show the ability to control these attitudes in the best way. Positive appraisal: They focus on the positive aspects of any situation. Psychological well-being: They are satisfied with themselves. Another protective factor: Family. Stress level: 88% is within average and 22% presents low stress level. | |
| dc.description.abstract | La salud mental no conoce de raza, sexo, religión o estatus social, y es por eso que todos estamos propensos a padecer o desarrollar un trastorno mental. Hoy en día las cifras de trastornos mentales se han agravado como resultado de la pandemia. Entendemos como salud mental la relación estrecha que existe entre nuestro bienestar emocional y social. La investigación está dirigida a una muestra de 9 mujeres del grupo Perla Resiliente de la Comunidad Amiga Maria Chiquita, en un rango de edad de 30 a 59 años. El objetivo general de la investigación es identificar factores de riesgo y factores protectores de “Salud Mental”. El tipo de investigación es descriptivo y exploratorio de diseño cuasi experimental, así como la prueba utilizada fue el Perfil de Estrés de Nowack. Principales resultados: Factores de riesgo: Hábitos de salud (Alimentación y sueño). Otros factores de riesgo: Falta de recursos económicos y empleo. Factores protectores: Las conductas tipo A (ira internalizada, expresada, impaciencia, rapidez del tiempo) en este caso manifiestan el poder controlar estas actitudes de la mejor manera. La valoración positiva: Se concentran en los aspectos positivos frente a cualquier situación. Bienestar psicológico: Se encuentran satisfechas consigo mismas. Otro factor protector: Familia. Nivel de estrés: 88% se encuentra dentro del promedio, y 22% manifiesta niveles bajos de estrés. | en_US |
