Abstract
Las tecnologías de la información y comunicación (TIC) han influido en los
procesos educativos en los últimos años. La búsqueda de información en internet
es uno de los cambios más notorios que ha traído las TIC; ya que ha permitido a
los estudiantes localizar contenidos para el logro de nuevos conocimientos, sin
embargo, la gran cantidad de portales existentes, exigen un trabajo más complejo
a la hora de elegir y valorar la información.
El documento que a continuación se presenta pretende comparar la asociación
que existe entre las fuentes de información y la veracidad del conocimiento en
estudiantes de UDELAS, Chiriquí. Esto se hace posible identificando qué tipo de
portales de internet consultan los estudiantes, verificando qué indicaciones
reciben los estudiantes por parte de los docentes al realizar sus asignaciones al
usar el recurso de internet, indagando qué tipo de fuentes de información que
consultan los estudiantes contienen veracidad del conocimiento y determinando
qué conocimiento tienen los docentes con respecto a las fuentes de internet.
La metodología utilizada es cuantitativa, el instrumento cuestionario de encuestas,
entre las variables identificadas están la fiabilidad de las fuentes de información y
veracidad del conocimiento, en un diseño de investigación no experimental /
transversal, con alcance descriptivo correlacional.
Entre los resultados encontrados se logró determinar que, sí existe asociación en
algunas de las fuentes de información a las que acceden los estudiantes con la
veracidad del conocimiento en UDELAS, Chiriquí, sin embargo, es necesario
fortalecer las estrategias de búsquedas de información.

Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) have influenced educational processes in recent years. The search for information on the internet is one of the most notorious changes that ICT has brought, since it has allowed students to locate content for the achievement of the their new knowledge, however, the large number of existing, require a more complex work when choosing and evaluating information. The document presented below aims to compare the association that exists among the sources of information and the truthfulness of the knowledge of UDELAS students in Chiriquí, this becomes possibly by identifying what type of Internet portals students consult, verifying what instructions the students receive from teachers when making their assignments when using the internet source, inquiring what kind of information sources that students consult contain truthfulness of knowledge and determining what knowledge teachers have regarding internet sources. The methodology used is quantitative, the survey questionnaire instrument, among the variables identified are the reliability of the sources in information and veracity of knowledge, in a non-experimental/transversal research design, with correlational descriptive scope. Among the results found, it was possible to determine what there is an association of some of the information sources that students access with the veracity of knowledge in UDELAS Chiriqui, however, it is necessary strengthen search strategies and information management.
