The present Degree Project is framed within the Educational Project modality and is titled: “Creation of a multisensory space to enhance cognitive development in children aged 2 to 4 years at the CAIPI of the Red Cross in Penonomé.” This project aims to create, adapt, and implement an innovative learning environment within the nursery classroom of the Early Childhood Comprehensive Care Center (CAIPI). The space was specifically designed to serve children aged 2 to 4 years, including those with and without special educational needs, promoting effective inclusion. It is based on the principle of Sensory Integration, serving as a pedagogical tool that actively stimulates the senses (tactile, visual, proprioceptive, and vestibular) to enhance cognitive, emotional, and social development. The use of sensory materials and active pedagogical strategies fosters emotional self-regulation, exploration, curiosity, and children’s autonomy. The results of the final evaluation (post-test) showed significant progress in the cognitive development of the participants, validating the effectiveness of the multisensory space. Its successful implementation allows teachers to apply innovative methodologies that actively promote attention to diversity, inclusion, and respect for individual differences. This project is established as a replicable model that highlights the importance of planned sensory stimulation within the field of Early Stimulation, contributing to meaningful learning and the integral development of children during early childhood.
