dc.descriptionThe argued research in this document has been called “Group Psychotherapy and anxiety symptoms on remote regions high school teachers”. The primary objective of this research is to identify anxiety symptoms on teachers who works on remote areas. The conducted research has a descriptive approach with the assessment of a pretest and a posttest. The instrument applied for this investigation were the clinic psychological interview and the Hamilton anxiety scale, which was used the adapted and translated version by Lobo et al. (2002), a self-administered tool that consist of 14 designed items to evaluate participants’ anxiety level. In order to develop intervention stage it was applied the planned intervention, which consisted in the application of group psychotherapy sessions specifically designed to address anxiety symptoms on the professor who participate in the research. These sessions were carried out on as defined in the suggested therapeutic scheme which included cognitive-behaviorist techniques, coping strategies, and group insights activities. After applying the posttest in which it was reflected an enhance in the studied teachers’ symptoms and they learned coping strategies for anxiety.
dc.description.abstractLa investigación que se plantea en este trabajo tiene como título “Psicoterapia grupal y síntomas de ansiedad en docentes que laboran en áreas de difícil acceso”. Su principal objetivo es identificar los síntomas de ansiedad presentes en docentes que laboran en áreas de difícil acceso. La investigación es diseño mixto cuasi experimental con la aplicación de un pretest y de un pos-test. Los instrumentos que se utilizaron fueros la entrevista clínica y la escala de ansiedad de Hamilton Se empleó la versión adaptada y traducida por Lobo et al. (2002), una herramienta auto administrada que consta de 14 ítems diseñados para evaluar el nivel de ansiedad en los participantes. Para el desarrollo de la fase de intervención se implementó la intervención planificada, que consistió en la aplicación de sesiones de psicoterapia grupal diseñadas específicamente para abordar los síntomas de ansiedad en los docentes participantes. Estas sesiones se llevaron a cabo de acuerdo con el esquema terapéutico propuesto, que incluía técnicas cognitivo-conductuales, estrategias de afrontamiento y actividades de reflexión en grupo. Luego se aplicó el posttest, en el cual se vio reflejado la mejora de los docentes en los síntomas y además aprendieron estrategias de afrontamiento ante los síntomas de ansiedad.
