This research aimed to evaluate the effect of the implementation of workshops aimed at parents of students with cerebral palsy at the Panamanian Institute of Special Habilitation, in the province of Veraguas, during the year 2025. The methodology considered the quantitative paradigm, of an explanatory type with a quasi-experimental design without a control group; in addition to the transversal bibliographic. The sample population (20) parents of the institution under study. The type of sampling was non-probabilistic for convenience with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The survey was used as a technique and as an instrument, developed by the researcher, which was used as a pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed using parametric and non-parametric statistics, taking into account the descriptive and differential. As conclusions, it was identified that parents initially presented partial knowledge, ambivalent attitudes and non-systematic practices regarding the educational, emotional and functional accompaniment of their children. Based on this diagnosis, a program of training workshops was designed, implemented and validated as an educational strategy that managed to strengthen parental competencies in the three dimensions evaluated. The intervention proved to be a preventive and family empowerment tool, with positive effects on participation, communication with the school and the promotion of the integral development of children with cerebral palsy.
