dc.descriptionThe research presented below is based on "Digital Competencies Associated with Professional Performance. Graduates in Occupational Health and Safety, Specialized University of the Americas, Chiriquí Campus" which aims to verify the association between the development of digital competencies and the professional performance of graduates in Occupational Health and Safety from the Specialized University of the Americas, Chiriquí Campus. Additionally, the specific objectives are to describe the digital competencies that graduates of this career should possess and to determine the demands of the labor market to achieve competent professional performance in the graduates of Occupational Health and Safety from the Specialized University of the Americas, Chiriquí. The methodology used has a non-experimental design. The research conducted has a quantitative approach. According to its descriptive correlational explanatory scope. The selected population. To respond to what is raised in said research, it is made up of 9 graduating students from the Occupational Safety and Health degree corresponding to the 4th year, class of 2024-2025. The survey technique and a questionnaire were used as an instrument. As a result, it was found that there is a relationship between digital competence training and the professional performance of graduates, specifically regarding navigating and searching for information on the web, projecting and sharing information using video conferencing tools, as well as interacting with others through digital technologies and employing computer programming knowledge to carry out a specific task.
dc.description.abstractLa investigación siguiente está basada en las ¨Competencias digitales asociadas al desempeño profesional. Graduandos en Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional, Universidad especializada de las Américas, sede Chiriquí¨ la cual tiene como objetivo general comprobar que asociación hay entre el desarrollo de competencias digitales y el desempeño profesional de los graduandos de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional de la Universidad Especializada de las Américas, sede Chiriquí y como objetivos específicos describir las competencias digitales que deben manejar los graduandos de esta carrera y determinar qué exigencias presenta el mercado laboral para lograr un desempeño profesional competente en los graduados de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional de la Universidad Especializada de las Américas Chiriquí. La metodología utilizada tiene un diseño no experimental. La investigación tiene un enfoque cuantitativo. Según su alcance descriptivo correlacional explicativo. La población seleccionada para dar respuesta a lo planteado en dicha investigación está conformada por 9 estudiantes graduandos de la carrera de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional correspondiente al 4° año, promoción 2024-2025. Se utilizó la técnica de encuesta y un cuestionario como instrumento. Como resultado se encontró que hay una relación entre la formación de competencia digitales y el desempeño profesional de los graduandos, específicamente, en lo que se refiere a navegar y buscar información en la web y proyectar y compartir información utilizando herramientas de video conferencia, además de interactuar con otros a través de tecnologías digitales y emplear conocimientos de programación informática para realizar una tarea específica.
